Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara says his outfit will battle for the Ghana Premier League title next season after escaping relegation at the end of this campaign.

The Phobians retained their top-flight status after a crucial 3-2 victory over Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday.

Entering the final day in 15th place with 42 points, just above the relegation zone, the Phobians needed a win to ensure their safety.

This win lifted the Phobians to 14th place on the table, firmly securing their escape from relegation despite earlier fears.

“Our fans should look forward to our recruitment ahead of next season. We will change so many things. We will battle for the league title next season and not relegation”

Meanwhile, he has expressed gratitude to the club fans for the support throughout the league season.

“I want to thank all the fans for the support throughout the season. They have always been there for us in good and bad times. Without the fans, we don’t have a team. We need them every time and every moment” he said.
