Asante Kotoko assistant coach, David Ocloo has assured that they will return to winning ways when they face FC Samartex 1996 this weekend.

The woes of the club were deepened following their 2-0 defeat against Dreams FC on Sunday in the Matchday 26 games at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu with Sylvester Simba and Derrick Agyei scoring the goal for the home side. The defeat means the Porcupine Warriors have recorded just a win in their last nine games played in the second half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

The defeat at Dawu leave them at the 11th position with 33 points under Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Speaking after the loss, Ocloo said they will aim to return to winning ways when they face the Premier League leaders in the Matchday 27 games at the Baba Yara Stadium.

"We will go back to Baba Yara, that’s our home," he told StarTimes after the game.

"If we want to turn things around, it should be at Baba Yara on Sunday against Samartex," he added.

The much-anticipated game has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT on Sunday.
