We will keep our squad intact and add one or two players ahead of Africa campaign - Dreams FC coach Karim Zito

Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has firmly declared his team's strategy for the upcoming 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup campaign - maintain the cohesion of the existing squad while strategically adding one or two players to the mix.

Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC will clash with Milo FC de Kankan of Guinea in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams are participating in the CAF Confederation Cup after beating King Faisal to win the MTN FA Cup. Dreams will make the trip to Guinea for the first leg before hosting Milo FC in Accra.

The first preliminary round is fixed for the weekend of 18 - 20 August for the 1st leg matches and 25 - 27 August for the 2nd leg ties.

The second preliminary will come off 15 to 17 September for the first leg games, and the returning fixtures are from September 19 to October 1, 2023.

The winner of the tie will face either of AS Douanes (Niger) and Kallon FC (Sierra Leone) in the second preliminary round for a spot in the group stage.

"We don't want to do a lot of signings because we are in the process of our DNA that we are following. So if you do too much changes it will bring a lot of problems but there are some positions that we are fighting to get more experienced players to take over that," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Because football as long as it is for the experienced it is for the youth today if you have the boys who are youth and ready to work you will get what you want. So definitely we will add one or two but not more and I am very happy that we going first at least it will boost our morale a little,"
