Asante Kotoko trainer, Prosper Narteh Ogum is focused in winning with the Ghanaian giants after a sweet victory in Ghana Premier League opening day against Dreams FC.

The Porcupine Warriors came from behind to beat the Still Believe lads at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kotoko went down just after the hour mark when Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a brilliant goal on his GPL debut.

But the two-time African Champions kept believing and had midfielder Mudasiru Salifu cancel out the lead in the 86th minutes.

Two minute later, substitute Isaac Oppong riffled into the roof to give Kotoko the lead before Richmond Lamptey struck a trademark long-range in the 92nd minute to cement the victory.

In an interview, the former WAFA gaffer indicated the side trusted the process and will keep trusting in the process as they seek to make a meaningful impact in the 2021/22 season.

“We trusted in the process, we came with a game plan and trusted in it. you saw it, from the beginning to the end we never changed. We trust in our process and we are still going to trust in the process and keep to the process” he said.

Asante Kotoko will host Bechem United the favourite Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in matchday 2 of the league.
