We will not fix the rest of our games - Relegated-Kotoko Royals PRO

Communications Director of Kotoku Royals, Okatakyie Afrifa, has disclosed that the team will not fix the rest of their games despite suffering relegation from the topflight.

The Ghana Premier League debutants have been poor in the ongoing season.

However, the Oda-based team has four games left on its 2022-2023 schedule to clear with two of such games involving relegation-threatened Tamale City and Karela United.

Kotoku Royals held league leaders, Aduana Stars to a 1-1 drawn game on Monday.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Afrifa dismissed the notion Kotoku Royals will go easy on its upcoming opponents.

“Against league leaders Aduana Stars, we played our hearts out…and everybody saw how Kotoku Royals played and being a professional club like Kotoku Royals, we don’t tolerate any fixed matches," he told Citi Sports.

"We are going all out, play our hearts out as far as the rest of the matches are concerned," he added.

Kotoku Royals will host Asante Kotoko in the matchday 31 games at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu on Sunday.
