We will not underrate Hearts of Oak – Medeama coach Samuel Boadu

Head coach for Medeama SC, Samuel Konadu has stressed that his team will in no way underrate Accra Hearts of Oak when they host them this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.

The Ghanaian top-flight continues this weekend with the second round with a lot of exciting fixtures. One of the big games is the fixture between the Tarkwa-based side and the Phobians.

The Rainbow lads lost their first match of the season against Berekum Chelsea and after sacking head coach Kim Grant, the odds look to be against them ahead of the game against Medeama SC.

Previewing the big match, Coach Samuel Boadu insists Hearts of Oak remains one of the biggest clubs in the country and hence it will be ridiculous for his side to underrate them.

“We are playing against one of the finest teams in Ghana and Africa and will ridiculous to underrate them. They have some fantastic players and will be extra motivated against us," the coach told Medeamasc.com

He added, “We don’t have lesser respect simply because they lost 1-0 at home. No, it’s the other way round. We have to be very careful when they visit. They are a good football team and clearly the favorites for this game. Everybody will be ready. Hearts will be 100 percent ready and we have to be to battle it out”.

Medeama SC goes into the fixture on the back of a 3-1 win against Ebusua Dwarfs from Match Week 1 of the Ghana Premier League.

The encounter will be played at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday, January 5, 2019, and will kick-off at 15:00GMT.
