President of Medeama SC, Moses Armah-Parker has hinted that they will play the CAF Champions League games at the refurbished T&A Stadium.

After an excellent performance, the Yellow and Mauve emerged as the champions of the 2022/23 season.

The Tarkwa-based side will represent Ghana in the Champions League next season.

Earlier reports suggested that Medeama SC will play their games at the Cape Coast Stadium since the Akoon Park which they adopted as home grounds will not meet the standards of CAF.

Speaking to Graphic Sports in an interview, Mr Parker confirmed that the new facility was 90 per cent complete.

He was, therefore, hopeful that the new architectural masterpiece would be ready before the start of the continental club competition.

Moses Parker also hinted that the Cape Coast Stadium had been chosen as an alternative venue in case the contractors failed to complete the Tarkwa stadium before the commencement of the CAF Champions League.

Two years ago, Medeama’s sponsor, Gold Fields Ghana Limited, voted $16m to renovate the stadium into a 10,000-seater edifice with modern facilities.

The features include a seating capacity, a playing field, a VIP stand, media stand, a ticket booth, and drainage.
