King Faisal captain Hakeem Abdul Mujeeb has stressed that his side can defeat Obuasi Ashanti Gold this weekend when the two clubs go head to head in the Ghana Premier League.

The two teams started off their campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight last weekend but ended up with contrasting results.

While The Miners inflicted a 3-0 win over Great Olympics at home, King Faisal went away to the Dawu Park and suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of Dreams FC. Now set to come up against each other, they are all determined to emerge victorious at the end of the game.

In a pre-match interview ahead of the Ashanti-regional showdown, King Faisal captain Hakeem Abdul Mujeeb has noted that they will see off their opponent.

He said: “We will beat Ashanti Gold on Sunday, they are a strong team but they will fall on Sunday. We have done all the necessary corrections ahead and we are looking forward to Sunday”.

He continued, “We know Ashanti Gold very well, we went to Obuasi to draw 1-1 with them so they don’t scare us. We entreat all our fans to come and support us.”

The match will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 4, 2020, and will kick off at 15:00GMT.
