“We win together; we lose together” – Michael Ampadu after Hearts of Oak’s GPL opening day defeat to RTU

Hearts of Oak defender Michael Ampadu has reacted to his outfit defeat against Real Tamale United on Ghana Premier League opening day.

The Phobians kick started the season with a narrow defeat against the Pride of the North at the Aliu Mahama Stadium last Friday.

Ampadu was handed his debut game after joining the club in the just ended transfer after ending his stay with Legon Cities.

Hearts of Oak, who had a brilliant pre-season scoring over 30 goals, suffered a surprising defeat to RTU last Friday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium with Owusu Afriyie scoring a late winner for the home side.

“We win together, we lose together. Better luck to us in our next game. Not the debut I expected but we never say die until the bones are rotten” he tweeted.

Hearts of Oak will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming matchday two fixture as they host Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium next week.

The disappointing start to the season has likely fueled their determination to show their fighting spirit alongside their footballing skills.
