West Brom boss Pardew confirms plans to deal in Hegazy

West Brom are eager to deal in Ahmed Hegazy permanently.

The Baggies plan to trigger their £4.5million option on the Egypt defender in January after a fine first half of the season.

Hegazy, on-loan Al Ahly, has been one of Albion's shining lights in a disappointing campaign – and no player has played more minutes for them.

Baggies boss Alan Pardew said: “We're pretty much down the road on that one. I've only been here for three games but he's been terrific.

“He has fantastic attributes as a centre-half and I think he's learning."
