West Brom won\'t risk tribunal over Leeds\' Taylor transfer says Pulis

West Bromwich Albion will not go to the tribunal over the transfer of Leeds defender Charlie Taylor.

The Baggies have already had a £3.5m bid for the left-back rejected as the Whites value the Englishman at £5m.

The 23-year old controversially refused to play Leeds' final match of the season against Wigan and was subsequently fined two weeks wages.

With Taylor being a product of the Leeds youth academy, West Brom manager Tony Pulis has refused to take the deal to the tribunal if it will risk the Baggies paying an exorbitant compensation fee.

He said: "If it's going to go to tribunal, we don't know what the price and that takes us out of the game,"

"You could go to tribunal and they could put an extraordinary amount of money on it and you're stuck with it.

"It's a risk that, at this moment, is not worth taking."
