Andy Carroll is questionable for West Ham United's match against Newcastle on Sunday, according to Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.
The Englishman, who has been linked with a return to the Magpies, has been out with a groin injury, but has returned to training in recent weeks.
"He has trained seven times with us," said Bilic.
"There is a big question regarding the Newcastle game and whether it is too soon.
"He wants to play but I told him that we're going to have to see. We will decide on Friday."
