Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has proven his worth, leading the FA Cup champions to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Zito, who has been criticized in the past for his association with Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku, has shown that he can stand on his own merit.

Speaking after the team's qualification, Zito expressed his frustration with the lack of recognition he has received.

"We work with you sports journalists, you know the in and out of every coach in Ghana, what they have done, and at the end of the day, I feel that for somebody who has gone to win the AFCON gold, for 30 good years we couldn't do it, and most of you criticized me that why was I given the job? Kurt, Kurt, fine, at the end of the day, whether Kurt or no Kurt, I have been able to prove myself," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

Zito went on to say that he doesn't care about the rewards or recognition, his job is to coach and do well.

"The small reward you will give to me, do you know why my son asked me when I brought home something, he said this is for what, and I said I don't know. He is in London now, he said daddy what is this, and I said they just gave it to me. So I don't care if they give it or not, my job is to coach and do well," he added.

Dreams FC came from behind to draw with Stade Malien in Kumasi on Sunday, following a 2-1 win in Bamako, to seal their qualification to the last four of the competition.
