World Cup 2022: CAF President Patrice Motsepe and General Secretary Mosengo-Omba visit Black Stars (Pictures)

The President of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and General Secretary Mr. Véron Mosengo-Omba visited Black Stars today to motivate the players ahead of Ghana's first game against Portugal.

CAF's delegation was received by Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku and his vice Mark Addo. Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and General Secretary Mr. Véron Mosengo-Omba spoke to coach Otto Addo and the players.

At this year’s Mundial, Africa will be represented by five countries that successfully qualified for the tournament.

As a show of support, CAF through its President Patrice Motsepe is visiting the national teams' camps.

The qualified countries include Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be one of five African countries representing the continent.

The Black Stars will compete in Group H of the tournament's group stages. In that group, Ghana will battle it out with two-time champions Uruguay and European giants Portugal.

The other Group H opponent is South Korea from Asia.

While the 2022 FIFA World Cup has already commenced, Ghana’s Black Stars will play their first match on November 24 at the Stadium 974.

Subsequently, Ghana will take on South Korea on November 28 at the Education City Stadium before finishing the group stages campaign with a rematch against Uruguay on December 2nd at the Al Janoub Stadium.
