Goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen has stated that he is happy to be at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Black Stars.

Manaf Nurudeen represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The 23-year-old was first called up to the Ghana national team in September 2021 for the World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa and remained on the bench in these games.

Nurudeen was part of the Ghanaian team in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations that was eliminated at the group stage of the competition. He debuted with Ghana in a 3–0 friendly loss to Algeria on 5 January 2022.

The Eupen goalkeeper joined the Belgian outfit in 2017 from Aspire Academy and made his debut for Eupen during a 1–1 draw with Waasland-Beveren on November 7, 2020.

"I started as a football player not a goalkeeper I was playing but unfortunately our goalkeeper was injured. So my coach push me to be in goal because I was the tallest among the team from there I trained I told me its better I stay in the goal than to play," he said.

"That is how it all began then I continue my career from Nima to Redbull in Sogakope then Aspire which I had a scholarship to go and study and play as well. From there things changed fast for me  it has been a long journey and I am really excited to be here,"
