World Cup 2022: Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri confirms he will not leave Sevilla despite interest from clubs after heroics at mundial

Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri has confirmed he will stay at Sevilla despite interest from clubs following his exploits at the 2022 World Cup.

The Atlas Lions became the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final and ended the hopes of Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.

Youssef En-Nesyri, who plies his trade for the Spanish club scored the winning goal in the first half, leaping highest to beat goalkeeper Diogo Costa to the ball and heading in to spark pandemonium at Al Thumama Stadium.

The forward who has been in outstanding form for the Atlas Lions, leading the North Africans to the semi-finals of the World Cup has attracted interest from several clubs.

But according to Youssef En-Nesyri, he will not leave Sevilla.

"I will not leave Seville, you already know this," the forward said.

The 25-year-old who joined Sevilla in 2020 has racked up only two goals in 15 matches in the 2022/23 season.

He has scored 5 goals for both club and country in the 24 matches he has played.

The forward’s current contract with Sevilla is expected to expire in the summer of 2025.
