Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Coach Otto Addo has allayed concerns that the hot wind around Cristiano Ronaldo could have an effect on his team.

Following a falling out between the Portuguese legend and Manchester United, the club on Tuesday announced that it is parting ways with the forward.

With the decision coming just two days before Portugal takes on Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, there are talks that it could play in favour of the Black Stars or affect the team.

According to Ghana coach Otto Addo, he does not care about what is going on in another team.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the gaffer said his team is focused and will play to beat Portugal.

“I don’t know and to be honest, I don’t care. It’s not our problem and I don’t think it’s a big problem,” Addo said at the pre-game presser.

“Everybody wants to win. No matter what happens, it’s a big stage, a big game at the World Cup level, so I don’t think normally this can disrupt anybody,” Coach Otto Addo said.

The clash between Ghana and Portugal is scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT on Thursday, November 24.
