Kotoko trainer Prosper Narteh Ogum believes his goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim is ready for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria.

The Black Stars will play the Super Eagles in a two-legged encounter with the winner of both legs securing qualification to the biggest soccer mundial in Qatar.

Ghana will play host to Nigeria on March 25, 2022 before the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on March 29, 2022.

The former Ghana U-20 shot stopper has been outstanding for the Porcupine Warriors after taking over from Razak Abalora who left the club to join Moldovan giants FC Sheriff Tiraspol months ago.

He was instrumental for Kotoko on Tuesday when they shared the spoils with Bechem United in matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League.

Reacting to calls for the inclusion of Danlad in the Black Stars squad for the much-anticipated game, the former WAFA gaffer indicated his goalkeeper is ready for the Black Stars ahead of the Nigeria showdown.

“He is a talented goalkeeper, a goalkeeper who is very good with the feet and a goalkeeper who is very good with the hands”

“Apart from that, he has some good leadership qualities, he is able to communicate well with his back line and he is able to corporate well with his backline, I think he is ready for the national call up” he said.
