Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng expressed his pride with the current AC Milan squad but added that the current side is not comparable to his side.
AC Milan have seen a resurgence of late in the Italian top flight, racking up important wins and are one of the best Italian sides so far this season.
During Boateng's time with Milan in 2011, the club was also dominant, winning the Scudetto.
The former Barcelona man appreciated the threat the current Milan side offers.
“You can't compare them, ours was a Milan of phenomena: Ibra, Robinho, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Thiago, me," he told the Italian press.
"Even when you weren't playing the best game, you looked around and said: now one of us makes us win."
"We were a dangerous group, they were afraid of us. Today I see a team, and they hadn't seen each other for a long, long time: everyone works for the other, with positive attitudes. Here:the opponents are afraid as a team."
He also gave his thoughts on the current team's chances of winning the Scudetto with Ibrahimovic.
“If you see Ibra cheering from the stands after a goal, it means that he is there with all his spirit. And if so, you can really win the Scudetto. The Milan play the best football in Italy with little-known players: this Saelemaekers did not know who it was, but with Fiorentina made a perfect match."
He ended with praises for the current AC Milan coach, Pioli.
