Zidane Admits Interest in Two Premier League Goalkeepers But David De Gea Isn't One of Them

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has decided not to pursue Manchester United's David De Gea, much to the fury of club president Florentino Perez.

The Spanish stopper was close to moving to the Bernabeu in 2015, before a paperwork error prevented the deal going through in the last minute.

Talk Sport are reportingthatDe Gea has remained on Madrid's targets despite signing a new contract at Old Trafford until 2019.

Los Blancos are being linked with a £43m move for the Spanish number one, but it's believed Zidane is not fully backing the decision.

The Former Galctico is thought to be prefering a move for Chelsea's Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois or Tottenham's Hugo Lloris.

Courtois is thought to be Zizou's first choice, but if that fails then Lloris will be his next target. The Belgian is six years younger than his French rival and that could be behind Zidane's thought process.

Chelsea are very unlikely to let go of their number one keeper, as are Spurs but Madrid's transfer ban is lifted in the summer and they will be willing to splash the cash on any of their top targets.

Madrid are currently sitting top of La Liga, one point clear of Barcelona and with two games in hand over their rivals.

Madrid are going to be linked with a number of players in the build up until their ban is lifted, but with it well known that a keeper is a main priority something could materialise with the players mentioned.
