20/21 Ghana Premier League: Daniel Lomotey bags four goals as WAFA beat Medeama 5-4

WAFA SC poster boy, Daniel Lomotey netted a sensational first-half hat-trick on Sunday afternoon to inspire the team to a 5-4 win against Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.

The Academy lads hosted the Yellow and Mauve in Sogakope today for a matchday seven clash of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

With a  bright start to the match, Daniel Lomotey scored to give WAFA SC the lead after just six minutes of play.

A minute after the hour mark, Godwin Agbevor scored to double the lead for the hosts before Daniel Lomotey found the back of the net twice in the final ten minutes of the half to give WAFA SC a 4-goal lead to take into the break.

With the pulsating encounter that ensued in the second half, Medeama SC scored four goals with strikes from Mohammed Abass and Justice Blay as well as a brace from Rashid Nortey.

Unfortunately, lethal forward Daniel Lomotey netted a crucial 5th goal for WAFA SC to ensure the team bagged all three points at the end of the game.
