Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon put up a good performance to ensure they defeated Elmina Sharks 2-1.

On the back of Berekum Chelsea’s defeat in the team’s last outing against Bechem United, they set up strong today keen on amassing maximum points.
Courtesy of a very good start to the first half, the home team equalized through talisman Stephen Amankona to take the lead after just two minutes of action.
Continuing to dominate play after that goal, Berekum Chelsea had to wait until the 61st minute before adding to their tally.
Attacker Abdul Basit scored from the penalty spot to seal an important 2-0 win for the side against struggling Elmina Sharks.
Later in the game, Tahir Mensah pulled one back for the visitors but it was not enough to save the side from what could be a costly defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
