A brace from teenage midfielder Prince Acquah has inspired Ebusua Dwarfs to a 2-1 win over Legon Cities FC today in a matchday 6 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, the home team had a bright start with their midfield dominating play in the first ten minutes.

After losing momentum, Ebusua Dwarfs capitalized and got the first goal in the 15th minute through a good strike from attacker Benjamin Acquah.

Though Legon Cities came in strong subsequently, they could not score with the away team making good use of a second opportunity in the 34th minute to score.

It was no other person than the lively Prince Acquah who grabbed his second of the evening to double the lead for Dwarfs.

With improved performance in the final minutes to end the first half, Legon Cities FC halved the deficit as Joseph Adjei scored from the spot.

After recess, the Royals fought hard in a bid to score to at least restore parity. Unfortunately, the efforts of the team could not produce a goal, forcing the side to succumb to a 2-1 home defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs at the end of the 90 minutes.

The result sees Legon Cities FC sinking to the bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings while Ebusua Dwarfs rise to 5th.
