2019/20 Ghana Premier League: AshantiGold SC beat Ebusua Dwarfs to go fourth

AshantiGold SC put up an impressive performance as they defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 on match day seven of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Len Clay stadium.

Samed Ibrahim's lone goal in the second half was enough for the Miners to secure the maximum points.

Coach Kasim Gökyildiz made four changes to his starting line-up with Samed Ibrahim, Appiah McCarthy and Benedict Damlen Wobenu making their first start of the season.

Dwarfs also made two alterations to their team with Simon Martey and Osman Mohammed replacing Amos Korankye and Jacob Ampratwum.

Ashgold had the first chance of the game after McCarthy's shot from the edge of the box was parried away by goalkeeper Razak Issah to prevent the opener

Issah made another important save from a free-kick delivered by McCarthy in the 52nd minute.

Issah came to his side's rescue again with another save from McCarthy's free-kick to prevent the home side from taking the lead.

The Miners persistent paid off as defender Ibrahim broke the deadlock to put the home side in front to send the fans to frenzy mood.

Ashgold held on to secure all three points at home.
