West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) has posted a 1-0 narrow win over Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium today in a Match Week 7 fixture of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.
The Academy Boys have been on a poor run recently but have managed to put up an impressive performance that has seen them ending a four-match winless run.
A good start to the match saw both teams creating some decent goal-scoring opportunities but the attackers failed to add the required finishing touches.
On the 24th minute, Eric Asamany took advantage of a good chance to fire WAFA into the lead, ensuring that the visitors went into the break on the winning side.
After recess, a pulsating encounter ensued between the two teams as they searched for an equalizer for different reasons.
At the end of the 90 minutes, it is WAFA who has picked up the maximum 3 points all thanks to Eric Asamany's fine goal in the first half.
