2019/20 Ghana Premier League Matchday 10 Report: Ebusua Dwarfs come from behind to beat Karela Utd 2-1

Published on: 16 February 2020

Struggling Ebusua Dwarfs have come from behind today to defeat Karela United 2-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium in the Ghana Premier League.

The two teams were in action this afternoon to honour a date on Match Week 10 of the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghanaian top-flight season.

In a game that Ebusua Dwarfs started on a bright note, they could not keep up the momentum and allowed Karela United to gradually take control of proceedings.

The away team now dictating the pace of the match went on to take the lead on the half-hour mark courtesy an equalizer from Sadiq Alhassan.

At halftime, that equalizer separated the two teams with the home team in need of a revival in the second half or risk suffering yet another loss.

Coach for Ebusua Dwarfs Ernest Thompson twitched his tactics after recess, helping his team to play better in the second half.

A minute to the hour mark, the efforts of the Crabs paid off as Seidu Abubakar scored to restore parity for the side. Dwarfs built on that lead and eventually scored the winning goal on the 76th minute when Ishmael Antwi found the back of the net with a fine effort.

The win sees the Cape Coast-based club moving from the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table to 16th position.
