Medeama SC has maintained its unbeaten run in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season after drawing 1-1 with Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
The two clubs went into the match with high spirit hoping to come out victorious to ensure they bagged the available 3 points.
Despite starting very well, Medeama SC failed to capitalize on the few half chances that came their way. Midway through the half, Liberty Professionals came in strong and dominated their guests.
After canceling each other out, neither side could get on the scoresheet as they went into the first half break.
An improved performance from Liberty Professionals paid off five minutes after the hour mark when Elvis Baffour found the back of the net.
In the last ten minutes to end the match, Medeama SC recovered and drew level through Babil Nana Kofi. The attacker’s second goal in the Ghana Premier League has been enough to help the Yellow and Mauves maintain their unbeaten record in the division.
On the other hand, Liberty Professionals have drawn all first 3 matches and will need to work more in training to prepare for Match Week 4 in hopes of winning their first match.
