Published on: 28 December 2019

The opening weekend of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season will see Liberty Professionals welcoming Wa All Stars to the Karl Reindolf Sports Stadium.

The Dansoman-based side goes into the upcoming campaign on the back of a change in the head coach position. Former manager Reginald Asante has left his post to take care of personal matters paving way for Coach Robert Ocloo.

The new gaffer will seek to set off to a good start in the Ghanaian top-flight league. He has built a youthful side that looks ready to put challenge all the other 17 Premier League clubs.

They will however not have it easy when they lock horns with Legon City FC this Sunday. Former called Wa All Stars, the side has undergone a rebranding process in the last 48 hours where they have adopted a new name, logo, and has also unveiled a new jersey.

They will be led by Bosnia-German coach Goran Barjaktarevic in the upcoming season following the reassigning of John Paintsil as the head of scouts for the club.

The match promises to showcase an entertaining showdown but will surely be tough for either side.

Prediction:

Liberty Professionals 2-2 Wa All Stars
