Black Stars B head coach Maxwell Konadu has heaped praise on his team despite crashing out of the CHAN 2020 qualifiers to Burkina Faso on Sunday.

Ghana played out a goalless draw in the return leg in Ouagadougou, losing 1-0 on aggregate following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg at home in Kumasi.

This is the 3rd time in a row coach Maxwell Konadu’s side have failed to qualify for the CHAN, missing out on the 2016, 2018 and 2020 editions.

Nevertheless, the former Asante Kotoko gaffer commended his team's performance against the Local Stallions.

"We played well and I’m happy with the team. They played really well," coach Konadu said after the game.

"You could see the frustration on the part of the referee but in the end, I think this a wonderful group of players who have given everything they have.

"Even though the 0-0 wasn’t the result we were looking for, the boys played well."
