2020 CHAN qualifier: Maxwell Konadu names formidable line-up to face Burkina Faso

Published on: 20 October 2019

Head coach for Ghana’s Black Stars B team, Maxwell Konadu has named a strong starting eleven to face Burkina Faso this afternoon in the second leg of the final qualifying round to the 2020 CHAN.

The Stars are hoping to overturn a 1-0 first leg defeat they suffered when the Stallions visited the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last month.

While Maxwell Konadu and his men face a daunting task, they take solace from the fact that they recently triumphed over Burkina Faso in at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations tournament held in Senegal.

In a bid to ensure Ghana emerges victorious at the end of today’s tie, the gaffer has name a formidable side with Felix Annan returning to the first eleven.

He will be protected by a back four made up of Patrick Yeboah, Fatawu Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan, and Habib Mohammed.

Captain Shafiu Mumuni will be partnered in attack by Joseph Esso and will be expected to bang in the goals to upset the home team.

Below is Ghana’s starting XI for the Burkina Faso match;

Black Stars B XI:  Felix Annan (GK)- Fatawu Mohammed, Patrick Yeboah, Habib Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan-Justice Blay, Benjamin Afutu, Latif Anabila, Augustine Okrah- Joseph Esso, Shafiu Mumuni
