Karela United have cruised to a 2-0 win against King Faisal this afternoon thanks to a brace from midfielder Umar Bashiru.
The team from Anyinase today locked horns with the matchday 13 opponent of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season determined to carry the day.
In a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Karela United had an impressive start and ended the first half with a deserved lead.
The visitors scored through midfield maestro Umar Bashiru in the 22nd minute after a very good team play.
After recess, King Faisal came in strong but the efforts of the home team were still not enough.
Later in the 62nd minute, Karela United were awarded a penalty kick and a chance to seal the victory.
Umar Bashir stepped up to take the kick and made no mistake as he scored from 12 yards.
Managing to hold on for the remainder of the game, Karela United have secured all three points on the back of a 2-0 win.
