Berekum Chelsea have started their second round action with a 2-1 win over Legon Cities on home soil.
Just before the half time whistle, Amankwah broke the deadlock for the hosts.
Legon Cities pushed on in the second half and were ultimately rewarded in the dying embers of the game by Hans Kwofie.
But, Stephen Amankonah had other ideas, hitting the dagger for the hosts just before the game came to an end.
Berekum Chelsea are now 10th on the log with 24 points and Legon Cities are 15th with 19 points.
