Published on: 30 May 2021

Inter Allies got back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Medeama at home on Sunday.

Second half strikes from Andy Okpe sent the Capella boys to dreamland after the final whistle was blown.

Ahead of the match, Inter Allies had won two of their last five and needed a positive result to boost their chances of survival. They managed to get the job done against a tricky Medeama side.

The two teams created some opportunities in the first half but were unable to find the opener.

In the second half, the story was different as Inter Allies found a new gear in the dying embers of the game.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 71st minute thanks to a smart finish from Andy Okpe.

18 minutes later, the lead was doubled after Nafiu Sulemana's effort found its way past the opposition goalkeeper.

Shortly afterwards, Sulemana got his brace after curling an unstoppable shot into the net.

Despite the huge win, Inter Allies are still bottom of the log with 26 points and Medeama are 5th with 43 points.
