2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 23: Match Report – Aduana Stars 2-2 RTU

League leaders Aduana Stars fought hard to share points with Real Tamale United at Agyeman Badu Stadium in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday afternoon.

The game was balanced in the early stages, Aduana had a free kick in the 35th minute but the kick was weak and RTU goalkeeper Yaw Osei saved the ball easily.

The home side kept on trying to go break down Real Tamale United but they remained solid and organized.

The score was goalless after 45 minutes and both sides headed to the dressing room.

After halftime, the coaches of both sides changed tactics and brought on fresh legs as the game still had no goals.

The deadlock was broken in the 75th minute, Kwame Frimpong stepped up to fire in a shot from the penalty spot to make it 1-0.

The lead did not last long, the away side hit back in the 85th minute through Umar Abdul Manaf. Manaf again scored RTU's second goal in 88th minute.

Solomon Aboagye's late strike in added time saved Aduana Stars from defeat.

Aduana Stars still leads the Ghana Premier League with 40 points and RTU is 13th with 29 points.

Aduana Stars will take on Berekum Chelsea in their next game while RTU will face Accra Great Olympics.
