2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 25: Match Report – Bibiani Gold Stars 3-2 Legon Cities

Bibiani Gold Stars beat Legon Cities 3-2 in their Ghana Premier League match week 25 game played at the Dun's Park on Monday afternoon. 

In the second minute, Abednego Tetteh calmly finished off a cross from Stephen Banahene to give Bibiani Goldstars the lead.

After conceding, Legon Cities put tremendous pressure on the home team and it paid off in the 9th minute Ebenezer Amegah made it 1-1

In the contest with Bibiani Goldstars, Eric Osei Bonsu's goal made it 2-1 for the team led by coach Maxwell Konadu. He took advantage of Joseph Baah's mistake in goal to give his team a second goal.

Charles Gyamfi Kamara brilliantly headed in Emmanuel Appau's cross for the goal to give Bibiani Gold Stars hope.

Tetteh scored his second goal of the day when a cross from Gyamfi Kamara found him in the box of Legon Cities, giving the host team a 3-2 advantage heading into the half.

Legon Cities threatened to abandon the game due to a disallowed goal but returned to continue.

Bibiani Gold Stars is 6th with 38 points and Legon Cities is 16th with 28 points on the Ghana Premier League table.

Gold Stars will play Real Tamale United in their next game while Legon Cities will clash with Kotoku Royals.
