2022/23 Ghana Premier League week 27: Karela United 0-2 Legon Cities - Report

Legon Cities defeated Karela United 2-0 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park on Sunday afternoon in match week 27 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

This is the first victory for the Royals in eight away games in all competitions and the second home defeat for the Pride and Passion lads this season.

The win means that Legon Cities has moved from 13th to 12th position with 36 points. Meanwhile, Karela United has now dropped four places into the relegation zone in 16th position.

Michel Otou scored the opening goal of the game in the 15th minute before Alex Aso scored very late into stoppage time to secure the points for the visitors.

Both teams finished the game with 10 players as a moment of madness saw one player from each team sent off.

Karela United will travel to Tamale to play as guests to Real Tamale United in match week 28 on Thursday, April 27, while Legon Cities will host Accra Lions a day earlier on Wednesday.
