2022/23 Ghana Premier League week 28: Aduana FC 2-0 Bibiani GoldStars - Report

Published on: 26 April 2023

Aduana FC returned to winning ways in matchweek 28 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League after suffering a painful loss to defending champions Asante Kotoko over the weekend.

The Fire boys scored twice in each half through Kelvin Obeng to claim a 2-0 win over Bibiani GoldStars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Wednesday afternoon.

This was their first game played at their traditional home ground after serving a one-game ban following an attack on Tamale City led by their fans at the start of the month.

The win means they maintain a three-point lead at the top of the league table with 50 points, three points ahead of second-placed Medeama SC.

Kelvin Obeng scored the opening goal three minutes after the half-hour mark to send his side into the break with the lead.

He then bagged a brace in the 95th minute to wrap up the win for his side as they look to put a firm grip on their title chances.

Aduana FC will play as guests to Kotoku Royals on Sunday in matchweek 28 while Great Olympics will play as visitors to GoldStars.
