2022 FIFA WCQ: Injured Thomas Partey eager to feature in Ghana’s games against Ethiopia, South Africa

Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey is eager to shake off his injury in order to feature for Ghana in the final two matches in Group G of the African qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Arsenal midfielder suffered a muscle injury in training last week and hence missed the team’s English Premier League game against Watford.

According to his manager Mikel Arteta, it is uncertain whether the player will be fit in time for the international break or not.

“Let’s see what happens with Thomas. He wasn’t available to play today. He’s got a muscle injury, and we don’t know how it’s going to evolve, so let’s take it day by day,” Arteta said after the Watford game.

Close sources have today confirmed to footballghana.com that Thomas Partey is doing his bid to be available for the Ghana matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
