2022 FIFA WCQ: Zimbabwe players arrive in Ghana for crucial clash

The male senior national team of Zimbabwe are arriving in Ghana today to prepare for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match this weekend.

The Warriors are pitted in Group G of the African qualifiers and still chasing their first win of the campaign.

Scheduled to face Ghana in a doubleheader encounter in the October International break, the squad of Zimbabwe have already started arriving in Accra today.

All players are assembling here and will immediately commence training for what will be a crucial clash against the Black Stars.

The first meeting between the Group G opponents will be played on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Subsequently, Zimbabwe will travel back home to prepare to host Ghana in the return fixture on October 12.

Coach for the Warriors, Norman Mapeza is keen on securing a positive result in the first encounter set to be played at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Kick off for that game is at 16:00GMT.
