2022 World Cup: Ghana and Senegal can go far - Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Elvis Manu

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Elvis Manu believes Ghana and Senegal stand a chance of making a meaningful impact at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament to be staged in Qatar.

The biggest soccer mundial will be staged in the Asian country between November and December later this year.

In an interview with Angel TV monitored by Footballghana.com, Manu, who currently plies his trade for Polish side Wisla Krakow reiterated his belief in Ghana and Senegal ahead of the World Cup.

According to him, the aforementioned countries can make impact at the tournament considering the quality of players at their folds.

“I think African football has become really strong in the last couple of years, we’ve got a lot of good players in Africa. Senegal has a very strong team and they are current winners of the AFCON. So, for me, the two teams that I think will get far at the World Cup is Ghana and Senegal because they have quality” he said.

The Black Stars has been paired against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H whiles Senegal finds themselves in Group A against Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.

Ghana together with Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon and Tunisia are the five African countries to represent the continent at the mundial.
