2022 World Cup: Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan confident Black Stars can make impact

Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan is confident the Black Stars can make impact at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

The Black Stars defeated Nigeria via the away goal rule in a two-legged clash to secure qualification to the biggest soccer mundial.

It will be the fourth time Ghana will be playing at the World Cup and have been paired against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.

Ghana will open their campaign against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal before taking on Son Heung Min’s South Korea and a final date against Luis Suarez, Uruguay.

In an in exclusive interview with Footballghana.com, the all-time topscorer for Ghana expressed the Black Stars can make impact considering their performance against Nigeria in the play-off.

“We have talent and you look at what we saw against Nigeria in the qualifiers, I believe we can go to Qatar and make an impact” he said.

Gyan, who is yet to announce his retirement from active football has capped 109 times for Ghana, scoring 51 goals in the process.

With six goals, he is the African highest scorer at the FIFA World Cup.
