2023 AFCON: Leicester City sends best wishes to Daniel Amartey ahead of Ghana’s clash against Madagascar

English Premier League outfit, Leicester City have extended a message of goodwill to defender Daniel Amartey ahead of Ghana’s opening match in the qualifiers for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Black Stars will today host their counterparts from Madagascar in the first of two matches to be played in the next five days.

Ahead of the match, the parent club of Ghana defender Daniel Amartey, Leicester City have sent best wishes to the player.

In a post on the Twitter page of the club, it said, “Best of luck to Daniel Amartey who is in contention for Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualification fixture against Madagascar this evening.”

The encounter between Ghana and Madagascar is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT later tonight at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Sources have confirmed that Daniel Amartey is in the starting lineup of the Black Stars.
