Hearts of Oak forward Yassan Ouatching has received a call-up to play for the Central African Republic in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) doubleheader against Madagascar later this month.

The announcement was made by Savoy Raoul, who named Ouatching among five attackers for the qualifiers.

Ouatching has previously played for the CAR on two occasions, but has yet to score a goal. Despite a difficult season with the Phobians, the forward has managed to impress Raoul and break into the team for the AFCON qualifiers.

The first leg of the doubleheader against Madagascar is scheduled for March 23, with the second leg taking place a week later.

The Central African Republic will be looking to secure a win in both matches in order to boost their chances of progressing to the AFCON finals.

The CAR is currently in third place in Group E, with one point, which is the same as fourth-placed Madagascar. Ghana leads the group with four points, followed by Angola in second place, also with four points.

Fans of Ouatching and the Central African Republic will be eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches, as they look to secure their place in the prestigious AFCON finals.
