2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Kingsley Schindler makes Ghana debut against Angola

FC Koln defender Kingsley Schindler has been handed his first start for Ghana against Angola in the Afcon 2023 qualifier second leg which will kick off at kick-off at Novembre 11 Stadium.

Schindler received a late call up to the Black Stars for the 2033 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola.

The 29-year-old right-back was handed late call up because of injury to Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey to boost the squad for the Angola showdown.

Lamptey was named in Chris Hughton’s 25-man squad for the qualifiers but has been forced out due to injury.

The 22-year-old picked up an injury whiles in action for Brighton in the English Premier League against West Ham United.

The right-back has been out of action for Brighton since March 4 after sustaining a knee injury.

The four-time African champions faced Palancas Negras last week Thursday and won by 1-0 thanks to a late goal by Antoine Semenyo.
