2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Mali official Mahamadou Kéïta to officiate Ghana vs Madagascar tie

Malian referee, Mahamadou Kéïta, will officiate Ghana's opener of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar.

The Black Stars who are seeking to end the country's AFCON trophy drought are scheduled to kick-start their campaign for a place at the flagship continental showpiece – to be hosted by neighbors Cote d’Ivoire – at home on Wednesday, June 1.

The game will be held at the Cape Coast Stadium with kickoff confirmed for 19:00 GMT.

The 38-year-old will have compatriots Modibo Samake and Drissa Kamory Niare as Assistants I and II.

Another Malian referee Sory Ibrahima Keita Sory will serve as the Fourth Official.

Alhaji Babagana Kalli from Nigeria has been appointed match Commissioner.

The Referees’ Assessor will be Waldabert Koissouai from Chad.

Ghana’s Dr. Christiana Baah will also be the COVID-19 Officer.
