Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas have had an unexpected turn of events ahead of their anticipated appearance at the 2024 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) President’s Cup.

Initially scheduled for Sunday, ASEC's arrival was delayed due to a technical issue, forcing them to return to their home base.

Thankfully, the glitch has been resolved, and they are set to land in Kumasi at 1 pm on Monday, ready to participate in the prestigious tournament.

This much-anticipated event is dedicated to the respective leaders of Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, President Nana Akufo-Addo and President Alassane Ouattara.

Both dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion, adding to the grandeur of the celebrations.

The game itself, which sees ASEC Mimosas facing Asante Kotoko SC, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

With such high-profile involvement, the President's Cup has become an integral part of Ghana's 67th Independence Day celebrations.

To ensure maximum accessibility, the Ghana Football Association has given its approval for the match to be broadcast live on SuperSport, a South African pay-TV channel.
