FC Kaiserslautern secured a commanding 5-0 victory against Eintracht Braunschweig in the German Bundesliga 2, with German-born Ghanaian winger Aaron Opoku contributing a goal in the latter stages of the game.

The win marked an improvement in the head-to-head record between the two teams, which previously stood at 4 wins for FC Kaiserslautern, 6 wins for Eintracht Braunschweig, and 9 draws.

Opoku was introduced as a substitute in the 71st minute, replacing Kenny Prince Redondo at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion. The German-born Ghanaian midfielder, Anton Donkor, also featured in the match for Eintracht Braunschweig. FC Kaiserslautern had the upper hand in terms of possession and both teams had a significant number of shots during the game.

Marlon Ritter was the standout player for FC Kaiserslautern, scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 36th, 48th, and 69th minutes. His first goal was a close-range finish, assisted by Almamy Touré, while his second was a stunning strike from outside the box. Ritter completed his hat-trick with a well-placed shot, assisted by Kenny Redondo following a fast break.

Daniel Hanslik also got on the scoresheet for FC Kaiserslautern, scoring a left-footed shot from outside the box in the 53rd minute. The game, however, was not without its controversial moments, as Almamy Touré was shown a red card for violent conduct in the 57th minute.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, FC Kaiserslautern continued to dominate and Opoku's goal in the 76th minute, a right-footed free-kick to the bottom right corner, was the icing on the cake.

Opoku has played 23 games, scored three goals, and assisted once for FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga 2 this season.
