The head of Technical at ADO Den Haag, Martin Jol is confident defender Jamal Amofa will continue to develop his game when given the needed support.

The Dutch-born defender of Ghanaian descent has signed a new 2-year contract with the Eredivisie club just after 100 days that he signed his first professional club.

According to Martin Jol, ADO Den Haag is delighted with the progress of Jamal Amofa. He believes that tying down the defender to a new deal buys into the club’s vision of keeping and developing talent.

“Jamal has enforced this himself in the past three months. He has shown that we can still enjoy him a lot. He is a football-playing defender with qualities that still hold a lot of stretch. We are happy to give him the space to develop further. This contract extension also fits seamlessly into our vision, which focuses on talent retention. This way you can prevent promising players from leaving prematurely”, the club head of technical said as quoted on their website.

Meanwhile, Jamal Amofa has extended his appreciation to the club for the faith they have shown in him and has promised to continue working.
