Aduana chief Albert Commey blames Kenichi for defeat against Asec Mimosas

The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Albert Commey blames coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi for their home defeat to Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas that ended their faint hopes of qualifying to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Goals from Gbagnon Anicet Badie and Braciano Ta Bi handed the Ghanaian champions their first home defeat of the competition at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on Sunday.

The result left Aduana on the foot of the table with four points, ruling them out of contention for the next round ahead of the final round.

According to Commey,   the tactical approach of the Japanese trainer was wrong and has criticised Kenichi for choosing a defensive tactic in a must-win game.

"I think that the team did not gel well," Commey said. "I also have issues with the coach’s system that he played. 4-1-4-1 if you are playing at home I think it is more of a defensive than attacking. Yesterday I asked those questions but he is the coach and he decided to go by those formulas."

"For me, I have to be very honest and praise ASEC Mimosas. In the first leg, we[Aduana] dominated them but they scored one goal, little did I know that they will come and continue what they did by scoring two goals."

Aduana's last game is against Raja Casablanca in Morocco.
