Aduana Stars appoint experienced striker Yahaya Mohammed as youth team coach ahead of new season

Experienced striker Yahaya Mohamed has been appointed the new head coach of Aduana Stars U-20 team ahead of the new season.

The 34-year-old who made a return to the club in 2018 currently hold a CAF/GFA License D coaching certificate and is e4xpected to develop his coaching career with the fire boys.

He will, however, mainly manage the youth team of Aduana Stars since he was not registered for the first round of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League campaign.

Footbaghana.com has learnt the former Kotoko striker has welcomed the challenge, expressing his readiness for the task ahead.

In December, 2021, Mohammed was part of the 40 people who partook in the CAF/GFA License D coaching course organized by the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association in Sunyani.

As a player, Mohammed starred for Tema Youth before moving to France to feature for OGC Nice on loan basis. He returned back to Ghana to play for Real Tamale United, Wa All Stars (now known as Legon Cities FC), Asante Kotoko, Amidaus before brief spells in Mexico and Tanzania.

He scored 11 league goals for Aduana Stars in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League, but was beaten to the golden boot by Inter Allies striker Victorien Adebayor, who scored 12 times.
